| Three weeks to go until WorldSkills 2011 |

In the beginning of October WorldSkills competition will be running in London. WorldSkills is the world’s largest international skills competition with young competitors around the world.The competition takes place at ExCeL London from 5-8 October 2011. Over 150 000 visitors are expected to follow the competition, where 1000 competitors from more than 50 countries/regions compete in 46 skills over four exciting days of competition. Skills include everything from landscape gardening to mobile robotics, hairdressing and fashion technology.The Finnish team consists of 46 competitors who will be competing in 40 different skills. Additionally, the Finnish team includes 40 skill-specific experts, who act as judges in the competition. In the competition area, the Skills Finland hosts a joint stand with the Ministry of Education and Culture, the Finnish National Board of Education, the Centre for International Mobility CIMO and the HAMK University of Applied Sciences. The stand offers visitors the chance to learn about vocational training in Finland and to discuss related issues with Finnish educational experts.
